What Our Parents are saying...

"Every time I hear a story of a child drowning it gives me that sick feeling in my stomach...I am so happy we had Zach take lessons from you. We had a birthday party last summer and the famous saying came up. IT ONLY TAKES A SECOND!!! I turned my back for one second and Zach went under. He popped up immediately and came out of the pool crying... that sometimes is the best sound to hear. Have a great day and thanks for what you do!!"

"Michelle has taught all three of my kids at some point. She first worked with my oldest child when he was 18 months old. He is now 6 years old, and he is (and was as a toddler) a very strong-willed, stubborn little boy. Michelle was determined to make sure he learned to swim, and she was so patient with him. He soon became a little fish! He loves the water, but we were no longer fearful of his being near the pool. In the toddler years, he had several instances of falling in the pool. We were always close by and would see it happen, and he always did what he was trained to do. It is a wonderful thing to see your child automatically flip to his back and float until he gets close enough to reach the edge of the pool.

Once he was riding his tricycle around the pool; he got too close and fell right in, tricycle and all. Thankfully, he let go of the tricycle and once again, came up on his back, floating until he could flip over and swim to the edge. Michelle also worked with my daughter for a short time, around the age of 12 months, until we moved to the other side of town. Just last spring we moved back closer to Michelle, and I was so excited we could bring our 13 month old son to her for lessons during the summer.

When we went on vacation last summer, everyone out at the hotel pool was amazed to see our tiny little fish, swimming back and forth from the wall to mommy or daddy or even floating on his back. I love having a little extra security - I know that there is a chance I will get distracted when we are at a party where there is a pool, or sometimes it is a little crazy having my three young kids at our community pool by myself, but I also know that all three of them know how to float and swim, should I not be within arms reach of them. I am so, so grateful to Michelle for taking the time to work with my most precious gifts!"

"OMG! It can happen! So this is how our Labor day went. My in-laws came over, and brought my nephews for a BBQ today. We let the kids go swimming most of the day. After lunch, Jeff and my father in-law were putting up the fencing we got to keep Aiden (and Lola, the English Bulldog, and any other kids that may come over) away from the pool. Aiden had been playing by the steps, and was doing just fine. My mother in-law was standing by the steps of the pool, and I was a few feet away from her hosing off the screen. We were all talking to the kids, they had been playing chicken, and Donovan had gotten knocked down and was crying. I turned my head a little and saw Aiden in the pool....doing exactly what you taught him too!!!!! I screamed, "The Baby"! Jeff was closer, so he picked him up out of the water. I just wanted to let you know what happend, and to tell you, THANK YOU!!!!! If it were not for you, he would be in serious trouble right now."
